Sawweeeeet. The cabin is 98% finished. All that's left is putting up the deck rails (they're stacked on the deck right now) and hooking up the kitchen faucet. Supposedly the faucet will be done by this Friday and then we'll get the "occupancy permit". Brent and I went up last weekend and moved in... er, decorated. It looks lovely and we're quite thrilled. We're headed back up this Friday and hopefully we'll get a little snowmobiling in. I also want to try out a little snowshoeing to see if I like it. If I do, I'll purchase some and leave them up at the cabin so I can get a few workouts in while up there on the weekends!
I signed up for my first Half Marathon. It's in SLC and it's April 19th. I figure this will be a good thing for me to do before Ironman 70.3 Florida. Kelly is most likely going to do it, too.. and so is Vicki. That'll be cool. Kelly will BLOW through the race... while Vicki and I struggle to finish. Still, it's a good goal to look forward to!
the workouts are going well. My back has been giving me fits - I got my second injection last week and it apparently did no good! I'm struggling to find comfort - especially in the pool right now. It's very frustrating not being able to go from SLIGHT extension (freestyle swim) to flexion (flip turn) without pain.
That's about it for now. I'm out.
